During assembly or disassembly, the frame of the wall bed can fall onto consumers, posing deadly impact, crush and laceration hazards. The current piston springs and user instructions could create a hazardous condition if the installer cannot understand and properly follow the instructions.
The Murphy beds were sold from May 2024 through February 2026.
The Murphy beds were sold online at Amazon.com, HomeDepot.com, Wayfair.com, Walmart.com, Target.com, Overstock.com, and Temu.com.

About 1,250 units are subject to the recall in the United States.
If your Murphy bed appears to be functioning properly, you may continue to use it; however, we strongly recommend that you complete the provided inspection instructions as soon as possible to confirm that the installation was performed correctly. If any issues are identified during the inspection, discontinue use and follow the repair guidance.
You still must affix the provided QR code sticker to a location on the bed so that you or future owners have a direct link to the updated assembly instructions and video, inspection instructions and video, and, when it is time to remove the Murphy bed, disassembly instructions and video for safe disassembly. You can contact us anytime for a QR code sticker if you were not provided one in the mail.
Immediately stop using the Murphy bed and contact us so that we can help you repair or complete the installation, at no cost to you.
- Register with us to receive a free repair kit consisting of unloaded piston springs, updated assembly instructions, and inspection instructions.

Customers who have already installed their Murphy bed and who have successfully inspected the Murphy bed using the instructions above should not request new unloaded piston springs. Once the piston springs are installed correctly, there is no hazard to users. Replacing the piston springs once they are installed is not recommended. The Murphy bed is intended for one-time assembly and use and is not intended to be moved or reinstalled.
